HON. PANKYES KROMTIT PANSAT, COUNCILLOR REPRESENTING PANYAM WARD TRAINED YOUTHS ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP SKILL DEVELOPMENT

75 YOUTHS WERE TRAINED ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP SKILL DEVELOPMENT IN PANYAM DISTRICT, 7TH SEPTEMBER, 2019.

Youths numbering 75 were trained in Panyam District of Mangu LGA on Saturday 7th September, 2019 at Nakam Memorial secondary school Panyam.

The training was a tuition free collaboration between Hon. Kromtit Pankyes, Councillor representing Panyam Ward and Chartered Institute of Human Capital Development of Nigeria (CIHCDN).

The occasion was declared open by the executive Chairman of Mangu LGA Hon. Lawrence Danat who was ably represented by the LGA’s Director of Research, Planning and Documentation/ Supervisory Councillor on Finance and Supplies Hon. Canaan Danok.

In his remark the Chairman louded the initiative of the organizers of the workshop adding that the training is timely and imperative especially now that youth unemployment rate is on the increase.

Earlier in a remark, Hon. Kromtit thanked the DG of CIHCDN Mr Cyril for accepting to partner with him to organize the workshop.

Hon. Kromtit pointed out that the participants were carefully selected from the 24 units in Panyam Ward and Panyam South Ward of Panyam District.

Hon. Kromtit also thanked the Executive Chairman of Mangu LGA Hon. Lawrence Danat for his immense support towards the programme.

Hon. Kromtit was quoted saying that ” Hon. Lawrence Danat is indeed a great leader who has the will power to partner with individuals and groups towards moving Mangu LGA to enviable heights. He is a friend to the youths”.

In a remark, the Director General of Chartered Institute of Human Capital Development of Nigeria (CIHCDN) Mr. Cyril said this is the first time the institute is embarking on an open training for the youths. He added that the Institute’s choice of Panyam District of Mangu LGA is not unconnected with the fact that the Institute is a brain child of one of the son of the local government in the person of Hon. Aminu Jonathan who sponsored the bill for the establishment of the institute in 2013. He also appreciated Hon. Kromtit for partnering with the institute to train the first batch of their trainees.

High points during the workshop was presentation of mind boggling papers by Mr Cyril ( The need for entrepreneurship skills among the Youths), Mr Vwamse Frederick ( effects of drugs and other social vices on youth productivity) and Mr Martin from Centre for Transformational Leadership ( Personal Development: The Strategies for Relevance in the 21st Century).

Goodwill messages came from M.Y.M and P.Y.C chairmen of Panyam District, and Hon. Aminu Jonathan.

Certificates were issued to all the participants.

In a closing remark, Hon. Canaan Danok assured the organizers that he will discuss with the Chairman on the need to organize a similar workshop in other Districts.
